I’m Dr. Steven Edwards, a veterinarian with a special interest in animal behavior.

My goal is to help pets and their families live together with more understanding, safety, and compassion.

I earned my B.S. in Biology from LIU Post before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts, completing my clinical year at Virginia Tech.

During veterinary school, I completed externships in veterinary behavior at the University of Pennsylvania and in shelter medicine at Cornell University.

After several years in general practice in New York City and Long Island, I developed a behavior service while working as an associate veterinarian at Shirley Veterinary Hospital, allowing the practice to see both in-house and referral cases.

In 2018, I moved to Clearwater, Florida, where I now focus primarily on veterinary behavior consultations and educational outreach for local hospitals.
